2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Why Not Two Super Bowls in a Row

The Bucs caught fire in the second half of the season and ended as Super Bowl Champions for the second time in franchise history. They new poised and ready to repeat in 2021 but we all know how difficult a task that will be. They are solid in all positions and their division is not quite as strong with the retirement of Drew Brees and that, in theory, should make New Orleans weaker. But, they have a giant bullseye on their back and everyone will wanting a piece of the champs.

The offense is in the capable hands of Tom Brady who had his typical stats, (4633 yards, 40 TDs, and only 12 interceptions). If given time, he can still make all the throws and at 43 that is amazing. They have a good combination at running back with Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette, so no worries there. There are capable receivers for Brady to work with including Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Scotty Miller. And, oh yeah, there is somebody named Gronkowski if you need someone in the clutch. There are very few concerns with the offensive line either. If everyone stays healthy, they will be hard to stop.

The offense gets most of the attention in Tampa, but the defense was the difference in the Super Bowl. The defensive line is led by Ndamukong Sun who shows no signs of slowing down at the age of 34. The linebackers might be the best in the NFL, led by Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre Paul. They are joined by Lavonte David and emerging star Devin White. The secondary is consistent and made big play after big play throughout the playoff run. They are relatively young and should be even better in 2021.

Schedule:

Must Wins: Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, NY Giants, New Orleans, Carolina, at Philadelphia, at Washington, at Carolina, at NY Jets

Toss-Up Games: Buffalo, at New England, at Indianapolis, at Atlanta

Probable Losses: at LA Rams, at New Orleans

Summary in Two Sentences: The only things that can deny the Bucs another great season are injuries and age creeping up on some of their veteran stars. For a Super Bowl Champion they have a surprisingly easy schedule and they need to take advantage of that.

Predicted Finish: 1st Place in NFC South *Playoff Team*
