SOUTH OZONE PARK, NY – Stud El Aguila’s Sounds Delicious made her stakes debut in fine fashion, dominating seven other fillies en route to taking Saturday’s $100,000 Correction Stakes at Aqueduct.

Breaking sharply under Angel Arroyo, Sounds Delicious quickly jumped to a multiple-length lead while posting fractions of :22.62 and :46.56. Hitting the top of the stretch 6 lengths ahead and still full of run, the Linda Rice trainee drew off convincingly to win by 8 lengths in a final time of 1:11.25 for the 6-furlong main track event.

A three-way finish for second was awarded to Spice Lady by a head over the favored Startwithsilver, with another head back to Quezon. The rest of the field was strung out several lengths behind, with the order coming as AnydayismydaySummer ReadingBluegrass Flag, and My Miss ChiffNisha and Rowd E Allie were scratched.

Sounds Delicious returned to the winner’s circle for the third time in four starts at the Big A. The 4-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True improved her record to 6-5-1-0 with career earnings of $192,750.

Sounds Delicious returned $11.60 to win, $6.40 to place, and $3.70 to show. Spice Lady brought back $14 to place and $6 to show, while Startwithsilver paid $2.70 to show.
