Analysis: He ran too bad to believe in the Fountain of Youth, so I’m very skeptical that something may have physically went wrong with him.  He was traveling fine down the back side before falling behind sharply.  I’m willing to give him one more chance before I completely give up on him, but the Fountain of Youth was a discouraging race.
