Analysis: After a disappointing Southwest Stakes performance, Hence rebounded to win the Sunland Derby and claimed his spot in the Kentucky Derby starting gate.  The field for the Sunland Derby was certainly skeptical, but Hence was an impressive winner by nearly four lengths.  He seems to be getting better at the right time, but he would probably benefit from one more race before the Kentucky Derby.
