Analysis: I had two different people tell me this was their “Derby pick” this weekend, and to both of them I replied “no chance.” It’s not that I don’t like this colt, however he has several things going against him with starting out so late. He could be one to watch in the summer, but he’ll have to be the freak of all time to win the Kentucky Derby. I could see him making an impact in the Florida Derby though, which would put him in the field and at least give him a shot.
