Last Race: Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds, Finished 1st

Analysis: He jumped onto the Kentucky Derby trail with a big win in the Risen Star.  Even though he didn’t run last weekend, I’m moving him up because of Untrapped’s solid effort in the Rebel Stakes.  His third place showing could be a sign that Girvin is better than I thought, as he had an easier time beating Untrapped in the Risen Star than Malagacy did in the Rebel.  He runs in two weeks in the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby.
