Cupid was not a likely winner in my estimation heading into the Rebel Stakes, but he grew up quickly and ran a very professional race holding off a late charge from Whitmore to win it wire to wire. He’s now won races from off the pace and on the front end, and could move up the rankings higher once he proves himself a bit more. Could improve as he’s lightly raced…
