Analysis: He was destroyed by Mastery in the San Felipe, but with Mastery now off the trail, it gives him hope again on the California circuit.  I never gave him proper credit leading up to the San Felipe, and after his poor effort, I now may be giving him too much credit by keeping him ranked this high.  However, I think Mastery broke his heart a little bit in the San Felipe, and if he can get an easier trip on the front end next time out, he’ll run better.
