Analysis: The signs aren’t great when it comes to the foot abscess Texas Red is dealing with. The latest news says they may train Texas Red up to the Kentucky Derby itself if his lack of points do not become an issue. Bottom line is the timing of this injury couldn’t be worse…no matter how minor it may be. I finally saw a couple of performances that prompted me to move him down.  Still holding out hope he comes back in good form.
