Analysis: The signs aren’t great when it comes to the foot abscess Texas Red is dealing with. The latest news says they may train Texas Red up to the Kentucky Derby itself if his lack of points do not become an issue. Bottom line is the timing of this injury couldn’t be worse…no matter how minor it may be. I want to put someone ahead of him at this point but haven’t seen a performance that makes me want to do it just yet.
