Analysis: All of the sudden Cupid looks to be Bob Baffert’s best Kentucky Derby prospect, and he can confirm that thought this weekend in the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby. For the most part Cupid looks like he’ll be facing the same horses as he did in the Rebel Stakes. If he can win this race with the same sort of effort as the Rebel he could enter the Kentucky Derby as the second or third choice on the board. This weekend will tell us a lot.
