Analysis: Yet another Breeders Cup Juvenile runner that looks to have a huge future. Carpe Diem actually beat Upstart in that before mentioned race, however I give Upstart the advantage because he’s ran twice now this year, however it appears Carpe Diem will be heading to the Tamp Bay Derby on March 7th. The son of Giant’s Causeway should have every right to be salty going long, but his timetable will be tricky if they only give him two prep races. Todd Pletcher’s struggles in the Kentucky Derby have been well documented, but this horse gives him a real shot.
