This is the last Sunday of live racing at Oaklawn for the season and that is very depressing for me. I love Oaklawn and a part of me dies when the races are over till next January. But let’s go and trry and find some winners for today and the 4 days next week. I’ve gotten hot the last two days, so let’s keep it going!

Best Bets of the Day

Race 3

I like #6 Englander trained by Karl Broberg. He has good speed and will be near the front and will have to hold off #2 First Rate who closes hard but might have to make up too much room.

The Bet: $10 to Win on #6

Race 6

I like #4 Cabertoss sent out by Steve Asmussen to win this one. He has the best speed and should get out to the lead. He, also closes well enough to hold off the late finishers.

The Bet: $20 to Win on #4

Race 8

This is a tough race to pick a winner. I like the #6 Trumpet Lily because she has been the most consistent and has hit the board 5 out of 6 races. She has enough speed to be close to the early speed and closes well enough when she gets the lead. I’m a litttle worried about #2 Battle Bling who is a great closer and trained by the Asmussen barn.

Let’s end the week with games from the NHL and a couple from the NBA.

NHL

Tampa Bay over Columbus

This should be an easy win for the Lightning if they don’t get bored. Columbus is playing out the season.

Philadelphia over New Jersey

The Flyers are playing their way out of the playoffs with every game and they must win this one.

New York Rangers over Buffalo

This is an absolute must win for the Rangers as they trail Boston by 6 points in the battle for the last playoff spot in the East.

Pittsburgh over Boston

This should be a great game as both teams are solidly in the playoffs although the Bruins can’t get too comfortable yet.

NBA

Sacramento at Golden State

The Warriors are playing really well as of late and the Kings are just showing up.

The Bet: Golden State -10

Cleveland at Washington

This is a “who cares” game but I like the odds. Both teams are not very good but the Wizards are better then the Cavs.

The Bet: Washington -7
