Race 2

My pick is #1 Canadian Ginger trained by Robertino Diodoro. This filly has hit the board in her last 6 races and should be close to the lead from the get-go. She will have to hold off #3 Catechism and that should be a great duel to the finish line.

The Bet: $10 Across the Board on #1

Race 8

I like #8 Long Term Thinking to finally break his maiden. He has the unbelievable record of finishing second 9 times out of 10 starts and that is a concern to me. He should set off the pace and make a strong run and hopefully he can get to the front and taste the winner’s circle.

The Bet: $5 Across the Board on #8

Race 9

This should be a great race between some quality older horses. I like #1 Bankit sent out by Steve Asmussen. He will be in midpack and then come closing at the end. The race should have a fast pace and favors a strong finisher like Bankit.

The Bet: $20 to win on #1

Race 10

This race is rematch between #1 Sir Wellington and #4 Jaxon Traveler. Sir Wellington got the better of the 4 horse by a neck in their last meeting in an upset. I’m banking on Jaxon Traveler to make enough improvemet and turn the tables in this one.

I will bet the Pick 3 using these three races.

Winnipeg over Toronto

I’ve missed Toronto 3 games in a row. I picked them to win two straight times against Vancouver and they lost and they beat the Jets on Thursday when I picked them to lose. I believe in the law of averages and I’m due to get this one correct.

Colorado over St.Louis

The Blues are desperate for a win but I don’t see it happening here.

New York Islanders over Washington

On Thursday the Capitals beat the Isles 1-0 in overtime. Not today.

Dallas over Detroit

Detroit embarrassed the Stars on Thursday. They get brought back to earth in this one.

Vegas over Anaheim

I’m entitled to throw an easy one in every once in awhile, right?

Florida over Carolina

This one is definitely not easy. I’m taking the Panthers because Carolina handed them a loss on Thursday.

And just for the heck of it let’s throw in an NBA game for icing on the cake.

Toronto at New York

The Knicks are at home in this one and are only a 3.5 point favorite.
