LOUISVILLE, KY – Multiple graded stakes winner Beau Recall is part of a stacked field of 14 older female turfers set for a showdown in Saturday’s $100,000 Old Forester Mint Julep Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs.
With the New York Racing Association (NYRA) circuit not resuming live racing until early June, several top trainers were left with limited options, causing a strong attraction to this 1 1/16-mile turf route. Chad Brown, Brendan Walsh, Graham Motion, and Brad Cox each entered a pair of their respective trainees.
In all, a total of eight graded stakes winners are slated to enter the gate: Juliet Foxtrot, Beau Recall, La Signare, Nay Lady Nay, Secret Message, Varenka, Elizabeth Way, and Mitchell Road.
