Domain Expertise broke from post 10 under Antonio Gallardo as the 5/1 second choice and settled mid-pack while Jouster shot to the front and posted opening fractions of :22.98, :47.60, and 1:11.10.

Jouster rounded the far turn still in command and seemed like a runaway threat, but she grew tired in the late stages, allowing a surging Domain Expertise to catch her in the shadow of the wire.

The Chad Brown trainee was officially a nose clear of Jouster while completing the 1 1/16-mile firm turf route in a new stakes record time of 1:41.12. The overall track record that Delay of Game set in 2000 stands at 1:39.72.

Graham Motion trainees Oyster Box and Mia Martina took third and fourth, respectively, over Queen of the Green.

Be Sneaky, Flight to Shanghai, Forever Boss, Big Band Luzziann, and Alex’s First completed the order of finish.

Big Bad Diva (Main Track Only) and Hindsight were scratched from the race restricted to 3-year-old fillies.

Domain Expertise’s win was her first at the stakes level and improved her overall record to 5-2-1-1. The daughter of Kitten’s Joy, purchased for $200,000 as a yearling, has now earned $125,700.

Domain Expertise returned $12.80 to win, $4.40 to place, and $3 to show. Jouster brought back $2.80 to place and $2.40 to show. Oyster Box paid $3.40 to show.
