Disco Time Leads Pegasus World Cup Field; Turf Races Draw Competitive Groups

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – Juddmonte’s Disco Time was made the 8-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday’s Pegasus World Cup Invitational following Sunday’s post-position draw at Gulfstream Park.

The undefeated 4-year-old son of Not This Time drew Post 1 and will attempt to improve to 6-for-6 in the $3 million, 1 1/8-mile Grade 1 while facing 11 rivals in the “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup Classic qualifier. Trained by Brad Cox, Disco Time will be ridden by Flavien Prat after dominant wins in the Lecomte (G3), St. Louis Derby, and Dwyer following an eight-month layoff.

Captain Cook (Post 9, 15-1) gives Todd Pletcher a chance at a second Pegasus victory, while Madaket Road (Post 6, 10-1) looks to add to Bob Baffert’s record four wins in the race with Mike Smith aboard.

Other contenders include Full Serrano (Post 3, 12-1), Banishing (Post 4, 20-1), Mika (Post 10, 8-1), British Isles (Post 2, 20-1), and Brotha Keny (Post 12, 30-1). Lightning Tones and Catalytic are listed as also-eligibles at 50-1.
