Trainer Bob Baffert told Daily Racing Form’s Jay Privman that Cupid is no longer under Kentucky Derby consideration. Baffert confirmed a Daily Racing Form report earlier today that Cupid would miss the Kentucky Derby and undergo surgery for an entrapped epiglottis.
The defection now sends Mo Tom to #20 and in the starting gate for the Derby. A revised Road to the Kentucky Derby Leaderboard is below.
