Breeders Cup Predictions #2

Breeders Cup Predictions #2

untitled1

The Classic: Game On Dude – What happened last year doesn’t scare me off Game On Dude as of yet.  He’ll probably be my pick on Breeders Cup day unless Palace Malice or Cross Traffic are super impressive in the Jockey Club Gold Cup.

The Distaff: Royal Delta – She basically is towering over this division, and unless Princess of Sylmar shows up I don’t think anyone can even challenge her.

The Mile: Wise Dan – Lock of the Breeders Cup!  Wise Dan is unbelievable right now.  We know that nobody in this country can even come close to him, so who the European’s bring will be his biggest challengers.

The Sprint: Fast Bullet – This is wide open, and will be a race you want to take a big price in.  Fast Bullet is the pick now, but likely will not be when the actual race is ran.

The Filly and Mare Turf: Dank – So impressive on Arlington Million day!  Very confident in this ones chances.

The Turf: Point of Entry – Can he make it back in time for the race, and will he be fit enough to win?  Big question marks, but he also has big time talent.

The Juvenile Fillies: Untapable – Loved her win at Churchill last time out, and she definitely has room for improvement off that race.  Asmussen two-year olds have been dazzling this year.

The Juvenile: Strong Mandate – Certainly the number one candidate right now, but this group of two-year old males look to be strong.  We’ll find out more in the coming weeks.

The Turf Sprint: Mizdirection – Defending champion will be tough to beat on the downhill turf course.  She’s never been beaten on that track.

The Filly and Mare Sprint: Reenesgotzip – Major challengers are lining up behind her in this one.  This could be one of the more exciting races of the entire event.

The Dirt Mile: Verrazano – He looks almost unbeatable at a mile.  The only concerning thing is he will not have a prep race before the Breeders Cup.

The Juvenile Turf: Bashart – It doesn’t look like my first pick Boji Moon is pointing towards this one, so I’ll go with Bashart for now.  Likely to change…

The Juvenile Fillies Turf: Granny Mc’s Kitten – Really liked her races at Saratoga this summer.  The Euro shippers will have something to say in this race, but Granny Mc’s Kitten is pretty solid.

The Marathon: Sky Kingdom – His win at Santa Anita over a distance of ground gives him an edge over the competition at this time.  Still, this is always a difficult race to handicap.
