Betting Tips Breeders Cup Predictions #1 September 11, 2012 Betting Tips Breeders Cup Predictions #1 September 11, 2012 By: Aaron Halterman twitterfacebooklinkedinemail Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article Even though it’s very early, and we don’t really know who’s going to be in the races let alone win them, it’s still fun to look ahead. I’m going to update these picks every Tuesday until Breeders Cup weekend. If the Breeders Cup were run today, this is who I’d be betting on. Classic: Game On Dude – As of right now I just can’t go against him. He’s been the most consistent older horse all year. Ladies Classic: Questing – Two months ago I barely knew who this horse was, and now I’m picking her to win the Ladies Classic! It’s been an amazing rise to the top for her. Mile: Wise Dan – Easily the best American turf miler, only question mark will be the invasion of the Europeans. Turf: St. Nicholas Abbey – You would think the defending champion will be pointed here. Juvenile: Know More – Really impressed with his second place effort at Del Mar last time out. Felt like he was the best horse. Dirt Mile: Rail Trip – This was the hardest one to pick out of them all. The race looks wide open. Turf Sprint: Caracortado – Just a shot in the dark here. He’s working out pretty well, and might be ready to return and run big at the right time. Sprint: Amazombie – I really want to pick a long shot here, but just can’t go against Amazombie. Filly and Mare Sprint: It’s Tricky – I think she might be at her very best when sprinting. She’ll probably end up in the Ladies Classic, but if she ends up in this spot I think she dominates. Juvenile Turf: Brown Almighty – His loss on Saturday is concerning, but I still like this horse a lot. Will stick with him for now. Filly and Mare Turf: Zagora – Her performance at the Spa last time out was really strong. Juvenile Filly: Executiveprivilege – She’s still my top choice, even though Dreaming of Julia was off the charts in her Belmont victory Sunday. Sill like Excutiveprivilege’s class and consistency though. Juvenile Filly Turf: Speedinthruthecity – Really like her last race as a felt like she got the worst of the trips in her third place effort last time out. Marathon: Redeemed – Easy choice for me at this point. Juvenile Sprint: Bern Identity – His trainer says he’s a sprinter, and his win at Saratoga was pretty solid.
