All Others, Life Is Good End Kentucky Derby Future Wager Pool 1 On Top

As is often the case, “All Other 3-Year-Old Colts and Geldings” ended Kentucky Derby Future Wager (KDFW) Pool 1 as the heavy favorite among the 24 possible entries offering Win and Exacta bets.

The shortest-priced single entry was Life Is Good (5/1), an Into Mischief colt hailing from the barn of 6-time Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Bob Baffert who earned a 90 Beyer Speed Figure for his 9 1/2-length debut win on November 22 at Del Mar.

Closest to Life Is Good in the final odds were the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) winner and current division leader Essential Quality (8/1), the Hopeful Stakes (G1) victor Jackie’s Warrior (18/1), the Nyquist Stakes champion Highly Motivated (18/1), and Keepmeinmind (19/1), who broke his maiden in this past Saturday’s Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes (G2).
