Nyquist lived up to the hype Saturday to win the 142nd Kentucky Derby paying out $6.60 to win, lower than that of American Pharoah who paid $7.80 the year before. But now the pressure rises with the second leg of the Triple Crown looming May 21 at the Preakness Stakes.

The Preakness field is not yet official, but there are several expected contenders that could ruin Nyquist‘s hopes of becoming only the second horse to complete a back-to-back Triple Crown since Seattle Slew in 1977 and Affirmed in 1978. The Preakness field is limited to 14 horses.
