It was a tough night for the St.Louis Blues last night as they lost Game 3 to Colorado 5-2, but also might have lost goaltender, Jordan Binnington for the rest of the series, with a lower body injury. He left the game in the 1st period and is being evaluated. Tonight is Game 3 of the Battle for Alberta as the seen shifts north to Edmonton. This will be a hard-hitting exciting game between these two bitter rivals.

There are 3 games on the schedule for today and tonight and all three are very, very difficult to predict. Let’s take a closer look at the Calgary-Edmonton matchup in Game 3 of that series.

Calgary at Edmonton: The series is tied 1-1: Calgary had the Oilers by the throat in Game 2, but couldn’t finish them off. Leading in the series 1-0, they scored two early first period goals and had Edmonton on the ropes. But the Oilers settled down and scored to cut the lead to 2-1 after the first stanza. They battled back from another 2-goal deficit in the 2nd period and went into intermission tied at 3-3. Zach Hyman broke the tie with a shorthanded goal to put the Oilers ahead for good as they evened up the series. They will try and build on the momentum tonight on home ice. Goaltender, Mike Smith, was outstanding with 37 saves, after being pulled in Game 1. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl continue to play at a high level. Calgary has to bounce back from letting the Oilers off the hook. Their offense has come to life and they are getting scoring opportunities. They took way too many penalties in Game 2 and they were short-handed for 11 minutes. Game 3 tonight is the definition of a toss-up. You can make strong cases for either team to win.
