NHL Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/17/22 April 17, 2022 Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports NHL Free NHL Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays for 4/17/22 April 17, 2022 By: Mike Halterman email Share: share on facebook share on twitter share on linkedin email this article Saturday was a great day for us betting the NHL. There were 14 games on the schedule and we hit 12 of them. Those kinds of days are rare for sure.We cashed both of our Best Bets as the Avalanche took care of business and beat the slumping Hurricanes 7-4. The St.Louis blew a 3-goal lead in the final period, before beating the Wild in overtime 6-5. Canadiens. Those two winning tickets improved our Best Bet of the Day record to 38-25 since the All-Star Break. We went an outstanding 12-2 betting the MoneyLine to improve our overall record to 269-147 since the All-Star breakwe end up the next to the last weekend of the regular season with 6 games on the schedule. There are a couple of key games to zone in on, so let’s make some picks. *PAPA DUDES BEST BET* Toronto over NY Islanders: The Maple Leafs had to rally yesterday to post an overtime win against the lowly Senators in Ottawa. But they managed to get the victory and they have a 4-point lead over the Lightning for 2nd place in the Atlantic division. They are trying to secure home ice advantage in the Round 1 of the playoffs. This is a tricky game for them as the Islanders have played winning hockey over the past 25 games, posting a 15-9-1 record. The fact that Toronto is at home is the only reason I’m not picking this as the Upset Special. I think playing at home on a Sunday night will have them motivated. PAPA DUDES BEST BET: Bet the MoneyLine on Toronto -200 *PAPA DUDES UPSET SPECIAL* No upset special today.*BEST GAME OF THE DAY* St.Louis at Nashville: This is a critical game for Nashville in the race for a playoff spot in the Western conference. They are in the first wild card spot, and are 2 points ahead of Dallas, so they need every win they can get. The Blues have won 8 straight games, and clinched a spot in the playoffs yesterday, after their 6-5 win over Minnesota. I think St.Louis could be a little flat after that dramatic win yesterday, and they are due to lose a game. It might be worth it to throw a few bucks on the home team. PAPA DUDES PICK: Bet the MoneyLine on Nashville -105THE REST OF THE GAMES:Florida over DetroitPhiladelphia over BuffaloMinnesota over San JoseAnaheim over Columbus3-TEAM PARLAY:We are going with 2 upsets and 1 favorite today.Leg 1: Buffalo at Philadelphia: Bey the MoneyLine on Buffalo -105 Leg 2: St.Louis at Nashville: Bet the MoneyLine on Nashville -105 Leg 3: Columbus at Anaheim: Bet the MoneyLine on the Ducks -145Bet $10 for a Payout of $54.41
