Free NCAA Picks, Best Bets, and Parlays For 2/6/22

Basketball is a very simple game. If you are making shots from all angles and from everywhere on the court you can win games. How else can you explain a 6-win Arizona team outlasting the #3 team in the country in triple overtime. And then there was Michigan State invading Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights have been on a freefall and 13th-ranked Michigan State was only a 2-point favorite. Sure, an upset is always possible, but a 21-point beatdown by Rutgers? That shouldn’t happen.

So, Survival Saturday turned out to be just that as seven Top-25 teams lost their games.

The Best Bets were ok as we went 1-1 for the day. Our Best Bet of the Day record now stands at 30-16 for 2022.

We went a respectable 19-7 betting the Money Line and our record is 298-67 (82%) for 2022.

We added a new feature on Saturday and bet the spread on all games involving Top-25 teams. I was proud of the results as we were 10-6 on the day.

Papa Dudes Best Bet for College Basketball Today

Loyola Chicago 17-4 (-1.5) at Missouri State 17-7: The Bears beat the Ramblers a couple of weeks ago easily in Chicago. They are underdogs in the rematch in Springfield and on paper they shouldn’t be. The problem with Missouri State is they very seldom win a big game when they need too. I’m picking them today but am being cautious on the amount I wager.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Missouri State +1.5

OTHER GAMES TO CONSIDER:

#6 Houston 19-2 (-6) at Cincinnati 15-6: This will be one of the toughest conference games on the Houston schedule. The Cougars are on a roll as they head into Cincinnati to meet the Bearcats. Both teams are tenacious on defense and this will be a battle. I think Houston finds a way to win but it is worth a shot to take the Bearcats and the points.

PAPA DUDES PICK: Cincinnati +6

Maryland 11-11 at #16 Ohio State 13-5 (-9): The Buckeyes are tough at home and are well-rested. They should have enough to pull away late and cover the spread against the Terrapins.

3-TEAM PARLAY:

Leg 1: #15 Providence 19-2 (-6.5) at Georgetown 6-14: Bet Providence -6.5 This one worries me as I can see the Friars coming in flat.

Leg 2: Loyola Chicago 17-4 (-1.5) at Missouri State 17-7: Bet Missouri State +1.5 The Bears knocked off Loyola in Chicago earlier.

Leg 3: Minnesota 11-8 at Iowa 14-7 (-12): Bet Minnesota +12 I think the Hawkeyes win but fail to cover the 12 points.
