Free Picks: Win Predictions for College Bowl Games and NFL For the Week of 12/17-12/20

We went 9-5 last weekend picking 13 NFL games and the Army-Navy battle. That brings our record to 385-128 (75%) for the season. The College Football bowl season starts Friday night and there are nine games scattered from Friday to Monday. The NFL is done with the bye weeks so there is a full schedule to try and figure out. We hit our Lock of the Week as the Packers covered and we are 10-5 for the year in that category.r However, the Jets lost against the Saints and that dropped the Upset Special record to 13-8. Here are our win predictions for this week’s bowl games and the NFL. Keep in mind, these are straight up wins, not involving the point spreads.

FRIDAY 12/17:

BAHAMAS BOWL at Nassau, Bahamas: Toledo 7-5 vs. Middle Tennessee State 6-6 Not much to say about this one. Toledo 27 Middle Tennessee 17

CURE BOWL at Orlando: Coastal Carolina 10-2 vs. Northern Illinois 9-4 On paper, Coastal Carolina is much better, but the Huskies will keep it close. Coastal Carolina 38 Northern Illinois 30

SATURDAY 12/18:

BOCA RATON BOWL at Boca Raton, FL: Appalachian State 10-3 vs. Western Kentucky 8-5 Two teams coming off losses in their conference championship games. Appalachian 37 Western Kentucky 31

NEW MEXICO BOWL at Albuquerque: UTEP 7-5 vs. Fresno State 9-3 Fresno State is the better team. Fresno State 42 UTEP 20

INDEPENDENCE BOWL at Shreveport, LA: UAB 8-4 vs. No.12 BYU 10-2 If the Cougars are interested, they should win with ease. BYU 31 UAB 20

LENDING TREE BOWL at Mobile, AL: Eastern Michigan 7-5 vs. Liberty 7-5 Honestly does anyone care? Liberty 35 Eastern Michigan 24

LA BOWL at Inglewood, CA: Oregon State 7-5 vs. Utah State 10-3 A so-so Pac-12 team against the surprising Mountain West Champion, Aggies. Utah State 38 Oregon State 35 in an upset.

NEW ORLEANS BOWL at New Orleans, LA: Marshall 8-5 vs. No.16 Louisiana 12-1 I’m a little surprised that Louisiana isn’t playing in a better bowl game. Louisiana 34 Marshall 17

NFL GAMES:

Las Vegas 6-7 at Cleveland 7-6: Who the Hell is going to play in this game for the Browns? I’m still picking them. Cleveland 17 Las Vegas 16

New England 9-4 at Indianapolis 7-6: Seems strange to me that the Colts are the favorite. They could win but……. New England 27 Indianapolis 24
