The track press release:

Warriors Reward and Commonwealth New Era Racing’s Just One Time, racing first time for her new connections, paid immediate dividends with a determined three-quarter-length victory over Four Graces in the $200,000 Inside Information (G2) Saturday at Gulfstream Park.

The 43rd running of the seven-furlong Inside Information for fillies and mares 4 and older was fourth of seven graded-stakes worth $5.2 million in purses on a blockbuster Pegasus World Cup Invitational Series program featuring the $3 million Pegasus World Cup (G1) presented by 1/ST BET, $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1) presented by Baccarat and $500,000 TAA Pegasus Filly & Mare Turf (G3) presented by PEPSI.

Purchased privately after winning four of five starts in her native Pennsylvania for Warrior’s Reward breeder Donald Brown Jr., Just One Time ($5) completed the distance in 1:23.81 over a fast main track to run her win streak to three races. It was the third stakes win for the daughter of Not This Time and first in open company.

A bit anxious in the starting gate, Just One Time broke a step slow and settled back off a quarter-mile in 22.45 seconds set by Dance d’Oro and pressed by Jakarta, who took over the top spot following a half in 45.77. Rosario swung Just One Time out wide leaving the far turn and set down for a drive to the wire with two-time Grade 3 winner Four Graces on her inside after splitting horses to get into position.

Favored at 3-2 in a field of 10, Just One Time held sway to give Rosario his second stakes win on the card, following Beautiful Lover in the $150,000 La Prevoyante (G3). Four Graces held second, with Jakarta third and 30-1 long shot Starship Nala fourth.

$200,000 Inside Information (G2) Quotes

Winning trainer Brad Cox (Just One Time): “She was in a state-bred program, mostly in Pennsylvania. Once you come out of that environment, the water is going to get deeper on our circuit. And bottom line she was able to swim on this circuit. It was a Grade 2 and she was able to pick it off. We schooled her. She loads with quarter pads. And she’s been great in the mornings. She obviously wasn’t great [in the gate] today. Horses sometimes know the difference between the mornings and the afternoon. There’s a lot of talent there, no doubt about it. I don’t watch a lot of racing here. I watch some. And where she was on the track kind of seems like a spot where horses kind of get out there and flounder and tire down the lane. For her to be able to stay on, shows her grit, determination and class.”

Winning jockey Joel Rosario (Just One Time): “Turning for home she was reaching out and I could feel her confidence. I felt pretty good at that point that she was going to run big. With the slow break and [going wide], she was the best horse in the race.”
