$1 Million Bonus Offered For Sweeping Haskell, Travers, Breeders’ Cup Classic

OCEANPORT, NJ – A $1 million bonus will be paid to the connections of any horse who sweeps three designated Grade 1 stakes – the Haskell, the Travers, and the Breeders’ Cup Classic – thanks to BetMakers Technology Group and Monmouth Park, which plays host to the Haskell this Saturday.

Offered last year for the first time, Authentic swept the Haskell, the Kentucky Derby (G1), and the Breeders’ Cup Classic en route to earning the extra $1 million and Horse of the Year honors.

The $1.25 million Travers is scheduled for August 28 at Saratoga. The $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic is set for November 6 at Del Mar.

The field for the 54th Haskell Stakes is expected to feature the runners-up in all three Triple Crown races (Mandaloun, Midnight Bourbon, and Hot Rod Charlie) as well as Following Sea, Pickin’ Time, and Basso.
