Sunday afternoon on the NFL gridiron and we will see the NFC East tangle with the NFC West as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington. The Cowboys enter this game at 1-1 on the year while the Seahawks have gone a perfect 2-0 so far. These teams last met in the 2018/19 playoffs and Dallas won that game at home by a score of 24-22. That game was listed as a PK.
Cowboys Pull Out A Miracle Against The FalconsThere is a quote that I say somewhere on the internet that says "If your an Atlanta fan the 2 minute warning means time to emotionally prepare to be let down". That was true when they blew a 28 point lead against the Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years ago and it wastrue last week when they blew a 17 point lead against the Cowboys with 4:57 leaft and a 10-point lead with under two minutes left. It was an improbable 40-39 win by the Cowboys, who improved to 1-1 on the year. Dak Prescott scored on a 1-yard TD run to pull to within two with just 1:49 left in the game. The Cowboys then got te onside kick and Greg Zuerlein kicked the game-winning FG as time expired. The Dallas offense has been strong in the early going, ranking 2nd in total yards and 8th in scoring at 28.5 ppg but the defense has struggled as the 'Boys are 24th in yards allowed and 25th in points allowed, giving up 28.5 ppg.

Zeke on rookie CeeDee Lamb, time of possession this Sunday + more.
In the win over Atlanta, Dallas piled up 570 yards of total offense, including 445 yards through the air. Prescott passed for 450 yards and a TD while also rushing for 18 yards and three TDs. For those that had him on their fantasy teams, it was a very good day for you. Wzekiel Elliott had 89 yards and a TD on the ground while Ceedee Lamb had 106 yards receiving and Amari Cooper had 100. This offense can be scary with all the weopns they have and they will need those weapons to play well in this one if they want to keep pace with the high-scoring Seahawks. Dallas could also use some help from a defense that has not look good so far. Last week, they allowed Atlanta to put up 380 yards of total offense, including 267 through the air.
Seahawks Are Off To A Flying StartThe Seattle Seahawks come in at 2-0 on the year and they were also involved in a nailbiter last week as they stopped the Patriots at their one-yard line as time expired. Seattle won the game 35-30. Russell Wilson is one of the most underrated QBs in league history. here is a guy that puts up big numbers every year and still has not received even one vote for league MVP. It looks as if he is playing with a chip on his shoulders this year. In the win over the Pats, Wilson threw for 288 yards with five TDs and one INT. It was a huge game for him and he has now thrown for 610 yards with nine TDs and one INT on the year. If he keeps playing that well and doesn't receive consideration for league MVP, I would be calling a foul. In all, Seattle piled up 429 yards against a very good New England defense last week.

Chris Carson had a solid game running the ball with 72 yards while Wilson had 39. Carson has now rumbled for 93 yards and no TDs on the year. Seattle has been a solid offensive team this year as they come in tanked 10th in the league in yards per game, 6th in passing, and 2nd in scoring, putting up 36.5 ppg. The problem for Seattle this year could come on the defensive side of the balls they are 32nd in yards allowed 32nd against the pass and 21st in points allowed, giving up 27.5 ppg. The Dallas passing game could have a field day in this one. Last week against the Pats, the Seahawks surrendered 464 yards of total offense, including 397 yards through the air.
Stats & Trends
- 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game
- 8-3 ATS their last 11 games as a dog
Trends Seattle is:
- 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games
- 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games on fieldturf
Both teams are off of last-second wins but I feel that the Dallas win was more impressive and it will give them a bit of extra momentum heading into this game. the Seahawks survived the Patriots last week as they got a defensive stop as time expired and I feel that could mean the Hawks are ripe for a letdown. Their passing defense is the worst in the league and Dallas has one of the best passing games around. Dak Prescott should have a field day against this offense. The Dallas defense has been nothing special but I do expect them to come up with enough stops of Wilson to keep this one close. Both offenses are strong but I feel that it will be the Dallas offense that is the difference in this game and they could even with the game outright.
