The LA Lakers snapped a rare four game losing streak Friday night with a win over Portland. Now they look to make it two in a row when they face the Golden State Warriors Sunday. The Lakers are 23-11 while the Warriors are 19-15 on the season. The Warriors beat the Lakers back on January 18 in Los Angeles by the score of 115-113. This game is also in LA. Can the Lakers get some payback
Green leads Warriors with a triple doubleThe Warriors have been playing great basketball as of late and it is in direct correlation to the fact that Draymond Green has re-emerged as the great player that he had been. It's not clear why Green slept walked through the first part of the season, maybe he was injured, maybe he was rusty, who knows. But championship Draymond is back and the Warriors are on a roll.

Green was ridiculous in a 130-121 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. He had a triple double with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 19 assists. 19 assists! Steph Curry added 29 points and 9 assists while Kelly Oubre added 27 points. Also, rookie James Wiseman added 16 points and 4 rebounds off the bench. Golden State shot a ridiculous 61% from the floor and 46% from three-point range. They also had 38 assists -- a category they lead the NBA in.
Lakers end losing skidThe LA Lakers have struggled without their superstar Anthony Davis, who went down with a calf injury a couple weeks ago. They lost four straight games, their worst stretch of the season. But the Lakers bounced back on Friday night with a 102--93 win over Portland. The defense really stepped up, holding the high scoring Blazers to just 38% shooting and turning them over 15 times.
The Lakers didn't shoot that well either, making just 7 of 27 from three-point range and shooting 42% from the floor. They also didn't get much scoring beyond their top two players right now, LeBron James and Dennis Schroder. James had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists while Schroder had 22 points. Montrezl Harrell added 17 points off the bench but beyond that, there wasn't much help.

Yes, the Lakers won Friday night against the Blazers but they didn't look great and still have major flaws without Anthony Davis. They really have a weak bench and when you take out Davis's production, that bench gets a lot weaker. They have a lack of offensive talent on this team beyond the big two and that is being exposed right now. On the other hand, I love how the Warriors are playing right now and Green is the catalyst -- both offensively and defensively. He just makes everyone better when he's at the top of his game. James can only carry this team so far. I love the Warriors here getting the points -- an absolute no-brainer.
