Analysis: I really love this horse…but not going any longer than a mile. He made a winning move in the San Felipe, but just absolutely hit a wall turning for home. The race left little doubt in my mind that he was the best horse of the bunch, but he just can’t go much further than a mile. Keep him at one turn and he’ll be fine. It’s frustrating though because he’ll give it another shot this weekend in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby. Maybe his pedigree will finally shine through, but he looks like a one turn horse.
