That’s right, it’s Derby week and we are doing it big. As you probably know, we typically would select 10 races from around the country and offer up a little handicapping challenge to anyone interested. Three would participate each week, with the winner staying on for the next week. Rules were simple. Fake $2 Win/Place wagers ($2 to Win and $2 to Place) and (1) mandatory $4 Win/Place wager were made on the horse a player selects in each race. Only one horse may be selected per race. If a player’s horse wins, the player score was credited on both the Win and Place payouts. If the horse finishes second, the player score was credited only on the Place payout. High total wins. And as we left it last, Mr. Halterman (Dude #1) was our back-to-back-to-back defending champ. But come on, it’s the Kentucky Derby! We have to up our game! So here we go, we are bringing back every single person who has participated in the Racing Dudes Handicapping Challenge since we’ve started. Yep, here’s their chance for redemption! And because it’s the Kentucky Derby, we are going to introduce some new rules! Rules: Each person will start with a mythical $1,000 bankroll. Challenge races will include races from Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 3, ending with the Kentucky Derby. Wager types permitted are Win, Place, Show, Exacta and Trifecta only. There is no minimum to bet per race other than the Kentucky Derby where a minimum of $100 must be bet, totaling the $1,000 wagered. The final Challenge race will be the Kentucky Derby. There are no caps on payouts. The player with the highest #DudesChallenge score after the Kentucky Derby on Saturday is the winner! Participants must submit bets to Dudes by Friday, May 2 at 11:59 PM CT.
