Ocean Knight: Has Curlin Sired a Triple Crown Threat?

So based on pedigree, is Ocean Knight a Kentucky Derby toss? Absolutely not. Is Ocean Knight a sure thing to get the Derby distance based on his pedigree? The answer is no. Of the three Triple Crown races, my opinion is that the Preakness Stakes will be the one that best suits his pedigree.

For now we have to wait and see what traits he inherits from his ancestors. The good news for Ocean Knight is if he can get the derby distance and he is called upon to use his talents to get him home first on Derby Day, he’s got just the right trainer and connections to bring home the roses.
