Racing Dudes Projected Order of Finish

#8 Unhedged (FL) – If you noticed, I recommended using the ALL button for all vertical wagers so that shows you that I think this one is wide open.  I went with Unhedged for two reasons: She’s going to be a good price, and she’s undefeated.  If you are going to put your money on just one horse in this race, then that combination makes sense.

#6 Salamera (FL) – Certainly the most accomplished horse in this group, and if not for her no-show last time out she’d be my pick.  Her last race concerns me, and with her being a short price I’m not sure she’s worth the risk.  Would not be a shock if she wins, and is a must use in exotics, but other will be priced better on the win end of things.

#3 Madame Cactus (KY) – Trainer Steve Asmussen is no stranger to success on Delta Jackpot Day, and this horse won the local prep easily by two lengths.  She also beat a large field of eleven maiden’s at Santa Anita which is not an easy task.  You could definitely put your money on worse horses here.

#1 Rose to Gold (KY) – I’m drawing a line through her last effort as I think she never really took to the poly track at Keeneland.  When you do that, you see that her two races on dirt were won by 26 and a half lengths which is extremely impressive.  This is a jump up in class from those two dirt efforts, but obviously she’s looks to be ready to make that jump.

#5 Cayllano (KY) – Was beaten a little over three lengths in the local prep for this, and had a little trouble relaxing on the back stretch.  Could see her getting into the exotic picture, but she may not be good enough to win the whole thing.

#4 Touch Magic (KY) – Has made the logical progression up the ladder, but not sure she’s classy enough for graded stakes company.  I’d use her in vertical wagers because speed figure wise she’s not far off, but I couldn’t support a straight bet on her.

#9 Sittin At the Bar (LA) – Was the second place finisher in the local prep, but never really threatened the winner.  She’s the only Louisiana bred in the field, but she may not be quite good enough here.

#2 Floral Sky (OH) – She was soundly defeated in her only start against graded company, but that was five months ago so things could change.  Her allowance win was solid at Woodbine last time out, so maybe the tables could turn…

#7 Cloudy in Sandiego (KY) – This is the only one that doesn’t look to match up very well on paper, but her last effort in the Pocahontas Stakes wasn’t terrible.  I’d be a bit surprised if she won, but not totally shocked.
