Another Miracle and jockey Paco Lopez trailed in the early running after breaking from the rail at 9/2 odds. Tipped out in the far turn, he made a three-wide rally into the stretch and surged ahead to the lead midway home.

The 2/1 favorite Kingpin was part of a fast early pace duel and nearly held on late, succumbing to the winner’s advances and fading to third at the wire when Jack the Umpire rallied past to take second by a head.

Another Miracle returned $11.80 to win, $6.80 to place, and $3.60 to show. Jack the Umpire brought back $12.40 to place and $6 to show, while Kingpin paid $3 to show.
